I’ve always been fascinated by content creation, but I never allocated the time to improve. In 2024, I made it my goal to stick to a select few activities and dive deep into them, rather than having a shallow understanding of a lot of things. I’m going to learn Lightroom and how to take more cinematographic photos this year. Future goals include Photoshop and short films.

March 23, 2024: Dave’s Hot Chicken: Kansas City, Missouri. I’m a big fan of shadows and dark tones (probably one of the reasons I liked Ozark so much). I didn’t have many photos taken at night or along the street, but the goal is to learn, not find the perfect photo. If I wait for the perfect subjects then I’ll never learn anything. I don’t know if this edit was any good, but I learned a lot of cool features from TKNORTH on YouTube. At the end of the day, I like this picture and think it could be a good baseline going forward. I don’t *think* I can do better than this right now, but I *know* I can one day with enough practice. Even the bad edits / fails I’ll probably post just to track overall progress and show that it IS okay to fail, fail, and fail. Then fail again.
